Hi

A formal way to introduce myself might be something like this:

I am a Hungarian-British artist and researcher exploring transformative sound. I hold a PhD in biofeedback art meditation and have conducted postdoctoral research on inclusive film sound for visually impaired audiences.

A more relaxed version might sound like this:

I am trying to figure out how to live a meaningful life, and what seems to help is making art that has some kind of scientific structure.

My academic resume can be found on the CV page.

Now

  1. I am developing research funding applications to continue my academic work with biofeedback meditation that can support sensemaking and mental health. I wrote about the core idea in p-e-r-f-o-r-m-a-n-c-e.

  2. Following a 4.5-year postdoc on the Enhancing Audio Description project, I am a Research Affiliate at the University of York, where I currently serve as a PhD mentor and a Postdoctoral Representative in the School of Arts and Creative Technologies. In this representative role, I am currently creating a report for the Research and Practice Committee and the School Leadership Team on best practices for supporting postdocs. I am also a Visiting Fellow at the University of Essex, where I taught Navigating the Digital World for three years.

  3. Since November 2025, I have been a parent governor at my son’s junior school with responsibilities linked to special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), mental health, sustainability, and OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning).

  4. In June 2026, I joined Community 360, a local organization connecting, supporting, and developing communities in Essex. As a volunteer, my tasks are linked to supporting an ongoing grant application, identifying new funding opportunities, and writing the corresponding bids.

  5. Besides all of the above, I am also working on my art. This is currently focused on curating music through my DJ persona ‘deepmodtech’, remixing my older music using Tim Exile’s Finalist, and writing new music with SuperCollider, Max, and the Ableton Push 3.
